Sunday, March 28, 2010
Taylor second place AKC Preferred National Champion
better. Went in as the bottom seed and held the lead to the very end.
He's exceeded every expectation and i'm overjoyed to be his agility
partner.

We must come clean
Challenger round clean to get to the finals.
Both the Challenger and Finals courses look doable for us, so let's
hope we hang in.
Prayers and good thoughts appreciated as we hang in at 5th place.
Barb
Nq in hybrid
it was on and flapping in the breeze at a critical wrap on jump 3.
Pulled Taylor into a back jump. We recovered and ran fast and smooth
to the end. Would probably have got second place.
Still have a shot at the finals through the challengers. Pray I keep
my head screwed on!

Some Good News
Challenger round and Final.
This is due to the small Preferred entry this year. This will probably
change next year if the Preferred class attracts more entries in
coming years.
This other news comes from a high AKC official. The AKC is considering
a preferred championship. It won't be this year most likely, but maybe
within the next year. Dogs who have met the criteria in the past would
be grandfathered in.
This changes would seem to be moved ahead by the fact that the first
Preferred National Championship titles will be won tomorrow.
If anything, this event has been an amazing learning experience and
worth the money and time it took to come to Tulsa.
Can't wait to see what happens tommorrow.
4th in jumpers
into the middle of 8 inch.
I was having a hard time remembering the course, and almost ran off
course in the last sequence. But Taylor had my back and we got
through. Pushed us back to fourth place, though.
Good thing is, we've qualified all runs so far in a national event.
All of the four inch competitors have been such wonderful people, and
the dogs have turn out to be a very nice competitive group.
Thanks to everyone who has helped to make the AKC Preferred National
Championship possible.

Fwd: Taylor 3rd in 1st round
> Nice competition this morning on a nice, fast flowing course. Both
> courses today put the advantage to the fastest dog. Not tricky --
> which means no twists or turns where Taylor can find an advantage.
>
> So, we're running for fun and having fun, too.
>
> Taylor broke his all time record for standard and was smiling the
> entire way, so that was worth it.

3rd place, Round 2
We got slowed up in the double pull through in the back corner.
Happy that we made it up the International height A frame and not only
qualified, but placed on International class courses containing
challenges usually never presented in American trials.
So proud of my little dog.
